Inspired by the remarkable photography of Irving Browning, this jewelry celebrates Browning's soulful documentation of New York City.
This landmark ring features the motif of the Statue of Liberty's Crown in sterling silver. Band measures 2.4" in diameter with width of 0.4", and has an open, adjustable back.
A self taught photographer and cinematographer, Irving Browning (1895-1961) is celebrated today as a master documentarian of the heart of New York City. The New-York Historical Society's Browning collection consists of 1,885 gelatin silver photographic prints, as well as ephemera relating to Browning's career as a photographer and cinematographer. Images date from 1918 to 1952.
