Featuring vibrant red blossoms, the Museum Store's Tiffany Poppies Tote is based on Louis Comfort Tiffanys (1848-1933) leaded glass and bronze "Poppy Lamp". Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) is celebrated today as one of the most influential designers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Recently discovered correspondence suggests that Tiffany designer Clara Driscoll (1861-1944) actually designed most of Tiffany's leaded glass lamps and many of his objets d'art. In addition to designing, Driscoll managed a large department of young women known as the "Tiffany Girls," who specialized in selecting and cutting glass for windows, shades, and mosaics.
