Description

Delight everyone on your greeting card list with this note card featuring the original Madison Square Garden that was located at East 23rd and Madison Ave. Tanu Vasu the illustrator behind the instagram @nyccurated explores the history of New York through a series of whimsical illustrations, some of which are inspired by black-and-white photographs from New-York Historical's archives and reimagined in her colorful creations. Take home a piece of this collaboration and remember that New York history never goes out of style.

The first Madison Square Garden was created in 1874 by renowned showman P.T Barnum. It was here, in the rooftop theatre in 1906, where Harry Kendall Thaw fatally shot architect Stanford White. The undated photograph by Frank M. Ingalls is circa 1901-1910.
