Designed by award-wining Brooklynite graphic artist Michael Doret, the apron was commissioned for the exhibition I’ll Have What She’s Having: The Jewish Deli, on view November 11, 2022 – April 2, 2023.
Doret’s notable works include five published covers for TIME magazine, two album covers designed for KISS, his logo for the New York Knicks, and his “Summer Harvest” postage stamps for the United States Postal Service. His font "Deliscript" was chosen by the Type Directors Club to receive the prestigious "Certificate of Excellence in Type Design" in the display fonts category.
