Annie Leibovitz's first photo book of objects and landscapes, Pilgrimage is a triumphant array of iconic images that matter to her: Abe Lincoln's top hat, Emily Dickinson's white dress, Niagara Falls. The project took Leibovitz to places that she could explore with no agenda. She chose the subjects simply because they meant something to her. Pilgrimage became for Leibovitz a journey of personal and artistic renewal. This catalogue accompanies a major exhibition at the New-York Historical Society, November 21, 2014 - February 22, 2015. 246 pages.
