Gotham the Pig Plush

Meet Gotham the Pig, our cute salute to the exhibition Lost New York. In the early 1820s, some 20,000 hogs roamed the streets of Manhattan. That works out to one hog per every five humans. Scavenging curbside trash in droves, New York’s wandering pigs were a model of self-sufficiency and provided a social safety net made of bacon for the non-wealthy pig owners.
