The vase was adapted from the Louis C. Tiffany Daffodil Hanging Shade in the museum's collection, and was designed by Clara Driscoll (1861 - 1944).
Driscoll was the manager of the women who selected and cut glass at Tiffany Studios. Their story was revealed in the groundbreaking exhibition A New Light on Tiffany: Clara Driscoll and the Tiffany Girls, and is celebrated in the Museum's Gallery of Tiffany Lamps, a stunning and immersive display space for New-York Historical's exceptional Tiffany collection.
