Return Policy
We want you to love your NYHistory Store purchase. If for any reason an item does not meet your expectations, please return it within 90 days for an exchange or refund in the form of original payment.

  • We can only refund or exchange merchandise in its original packaging and in saleable condition.
  • Shipping and handling charges cannot be refunded.
  • Memberships, donations, eGift Certificates, and Gift Cards are also nonrefundable.
  • All sale merchandise is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Gift recipients will receive a store credit for the price paid by the purchaser, provided we can identify the original order. If you cannot include the purchaser’s packing slip or gift receipt, we will issue you a store credit for the item’s lowest selling price.

Customized items
NYHistory Prints from are made to order and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Damaged Merchandise
If your merchandise arrives damaged, please retain all original packaging and contact us at or by phone at 212-485-9209.

Returns & Exchanges
For retail store purchases with a receipt, you may return or exchange merchandise in saleable condition to the NYHistory Store within 90 days from the date of purchase. Without a receipt, a store credit will be issued for the item’s lowest selling price.

Include a copy of the packing slip and a copy of your receipt. Return the package via insured ground service with delivery confirmation. Obtain a tracking number from your shipper - lost shipments are the responsibility of the sender. Online customers should receive a confirmation email once the refund is complete. Please allow one billing cycle from the time our facility receives the returned item for the refund to appear on your credit card statement. Exchanges will incur an additional shipping and handling charge for the new delivery.
