Irene and Xenia

Irene and Xenia were two of Sandra's great grandmothers, neither of whom she ever met. Even though Irene and Xenia lived a simple life, they were strong women who loved their family and their faith. The strength of these women carried on through the family members that came after them. Sandra loves remembering the names of these two special women in this way.

At any point in her life, Sandra was found doing some sort of craft. It wasn't until approximately fifteen years ago that she discovered her ultimate love, which is designing and making jewelry. What started out as pieces of jewelry given away as Christmas gifts has turned into a nice little business. Although much of her skills have been self-taught, Sandra has taken classes from Kieu Pham Gray and Connie Fox. Most recently, she retired from teaching middle school mathematics.

Nestled in her home in historic Doylestown, PA, Sandra can be found in her studio, creating one-of-a-kind jewelry. Whether hammering metal, etching copper, stringing gemstones, or wrapping a unique design, she designs each piece and puts a lot of love and energy into them. Her jewelry has been published in 101 Bracelets, Necklaces and Earrings (2012) and Stringing Magazine (Fall/Winter 2012). Sandra is also a member of The Artisan Group and has had several of her pieces worn by actresses on television shows, including Firefly Lane, This Is Us, Vampire Diaries, All American, and Gone Girl. Her designs have also been part of swag bags at the Academy Awards and the MTV Music Awards.

Sandra finds inspiration in nature, art, and artisan made components. Her creations feature sparkling gems & shiny metals while others are rustic, feature ceramic beads & strands of leather. Most recently, Sandra has fallen in love with polymer clay and enjoys creating jewelry with it. Look for her latest designs using her new favorite medium.
