Teng Teng is a New York-area artist, product designer, and founder of TINTINTINT, a design studio that transforms art and cultural stories into imaginative, accessible objects. Originally from Nanjing, China, she studied oil painting before moving to New York, where she developed a practice that bridges fine art, thoughtful design, and product development.
Teng Teng began working with The Metropolitan Museum of Art after one of her miniature framed artworks was selected for the museum's retail collection. Over the past five years, she has continued to work with The Met, developing lots of art-inspired products, including jewelry, bookmarks, magnets, notebooks, textiles, accessories, and playful three-dimensional objects. Her signature work explores the picture frame as both a miniature art object and a wearable form. At the Designing Women Market, she will present a selection of frame-inspired jewelry and related designs.
Her work is guided by curiosity, craftsmanship, and the belief that museum art can become part of everyday life. Through TINTINTINT, she works closely with museums and cultural organizations to create products that are visually distinctive, carefully made, and meaningful to a wide audience.
