The first Madison Square Garden was created in 1874 by renowned showman P.T Barnum. It was here, in the rooftop theatre in 1906, where Harry Kendall Thaw fatally shot architect Stanford White. The undated photograph by Frank M. Ingalls is circa 1901-1910.
