Our exclusive black on white Gay Harlem Renaissance scarf celebrates the creativity, innovation, and resilience of Black LGBTQ+ Harlemites during the Harlem Renaissance. Inspired by the “Nightclub Map of Harlem” illustration by E. Simms Campbell from 1932, our festive scarf includes a decorative border with names of some of the many star performers from this celebrated community, including Gladys Bentley, Ethel Waters, Jimmie Daniels, Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey, and Alberta Hunter. Crafted from a soft, luxurious cotton poly blend, this scarf has a beautiful drape and a light, breathable feel, making it a versatile multi-season accessory.
